A Fort Bragg soldier back from Afghanistan has received a Harley Davidson Sportster during an Appreciation Ceremony in Hall of Heroes at the Rawcliffe Center in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Â The donation was made by Lee Rawcliffe, owner of Sands Resorts and Don Allen, CEO of American Veterans Traveling Tribute. Â A second soldier will be receiving a Sportster in the fall.

Gulf Coast native spearheads a project to raise funds for the oil crisis
Weir, a Magnolia Springs, Ala., native, is spearheading a unique project to benefit and raise money for the Gulf oil crisis. Called the Gulf Aid Art Project, the two-week-old work in process will incorporate photos of families, individuals, landscapes, vacations, fishing, watersports and anything related to the Gulf.

Incoming BP CEO Bob Dudley spoke in Biloxi Friday morning to outline his company's long-term efforts to help the gulf coast recover from the oil spill. He's asked former FEMA head, James Lee Witt, to assist the oil giant in making sure things go smoothly in the recovery process.
